KITCHEN MAKEOVER

I love a good before and after reveal, so I figured I’d share one of ours. When we moved into our little 1-bedroom condo, I was ready to put years of Pinterest-scrolling and HGTV watching to use. I saw our kitchen as a blank canvas. It was super simple and basic, just crying for a modern makeover. The inspo was a bright, white kitchen with marble and gold accents. It only took showing my boyfriend a few inspo pictures to get him on board with the plan.

Before, progress, and after pictures are below – it’s amazing how much the white cabinets brighten up the space. We were able to donate the previous cabinets and appliances to a local non-profit that even helped us with the demo and haul out.

The backsplash was a quarantine DIY – thanks Pinterest! If you want to update your space but are renting or don’t have the budget for a full renovation, there are plenty of affordable DIY options ranging from contact paper countertops, stick on/removable backsplash tiles, cabinet paint, etc.
